Armageddon and growth

We just got back to Gisborne from Auckland Armageddon and just…. Wow. What an amazing experience. We were there with C.C. Davie and I didn’t really know what to expect, but the turn out was fantastic and we had incredible success! So many new readers and returning fans, it’s a little overwhelming! We made new friends, met our street team, blew through our sales target and bought so much merch and art that my walls are now papered over completely. I’d love to meet the other Heaven Official’s Blessings fan that helped me wipe out Kiss Anime’s stock lmao

Now, I have some good news and some not good news, so I’m gonna go right ahead here and rip the bandaid off…

I have to increase the prices of my books.

I don’t want to do it, but with the cost of printing and the time and work it takes to do the sprayed edges by hand, I don’t have a choice. At the moment I have to sell 60 books out of a hundred to break even, and that’s not impossible to do but it is hurting. I considered just selling the plain versions instead, but you can get that from Amazon with cheaper shipping than I can offer from my store, so what good is that? The final verdict is that I’m going to raise the price to $39.99NZD for a sprayed edge, signed copy, and when you buy it you get a tonne of awesome freebies, prints, and stickers as well.
