So, Australia is amazing.
I'd never been before, and I wish I'd gone sooner! I had no idea it was so incredible! Sydney Bookfair was beyond words, everyone was so friendly and welcoming and warm, I can't wait to go back. They were so welcoming, in fact, that they bought every single copy of both of my books! That's right, we are officially SOLD OUT of The Sons Of Echidna and The Sirin Sisterhood, as well as all of my candles and most of my hair swords.
Normally, running out of stock would be a bad thing, but this is actually kind of good! Because Sometime in the next month or two, I will be releasing The Sons Of Echidna, Second Edition.
When I first wrote SoE, I was a baby writer who had never even dreamed of putting together a book before. I had zero experience, and my English left a fair bit to be desired. Although I love my book SO MUCH, I am the first to describe it as a somewhat wonky first child. After writing the second book, and realizing just how much I had learned in a pretty short timespan, I've decided to bring SoE up to the same standard as The Sirin Sisterhood. This means better word flow, fixing up some parts that had been left out of the first print, and WAY more art. There will also be a special edition cover, and some pretty cool goodies coming out to celebrate. Most importantly though, if you've already purchased SoE, never fear! If you submit proof of purchase (even just a photo of the book is fine, I'll work out the details later), you'll be given a FREE epub of the updated book, so you can enjoy all the new features without having to pay for it twice. So keep an eye out, I'll send out an email update when all that's gone live.
In the wait time, my husband has decided to take over my Patreon >> So you can expect much more regular updates, and some really cool posts. From what I understand he's making SoE paper dress-up dolls as his next project? He did the Lai and koala sticker for Australia, so it should be pretty cute.

And... man. The world got a little bit darker while I was in Aus, huh? If any of you are feeling afraid or just need someone to talk to, come find me on Insta or Discord and we can chat. We'll be okay in the end; we've seen dark days before, and survived them. But I get it. I'm angry and hurting, my husband is devastated, and we're all in this together. No one is gonna blame you for diving into fantasy books as a form of escapism over the next couple of years.
I love you all, so much. Writing these books has brought to me a family I never could have dreamed of in you all, and happiness I've never known. Stay safe, support each other, and come hang out with me if it all gets to be too much <3
